Mason Bay & Ulva Island Scenic Flights
Almost 80% of Stewart Island reserved as Department of Conservation land with some of New Zealand's best birdlife, sealife, fishing and hiking.
Mason Bay is a vast stunningly beautiful beach on the southernmost edge of New Zealand with sandhills that go for miles. It is also well-populated with kiwi and you may even be lucky enough to spot them by day. You can fly in and land at Mason's Bay, picnic, explore and return or set off hiking back to Fisherman's Inlet and a water taxi ride home (a full day trip).
Ulva Island is famous for birdlife and kiwi. Stewart Island also has the highest population of Kiwi in New Zealand with an estimated 20,000 Stewart Island Brown Kiwi (Tokoeka). With the long daylight hours experienced over summer it is common to see them during the day along many of the walking tracks. Join Stewart Island flights for a very special day tour of Ulva Island.
We proudly operate two Britten Norman Islanders, a Piper Cherokee Six and one Cessna 185. All aircraft are maintained to the highest standard and fulfill all safety requirements.
