Driftwood Eco-Tours shares the best of Marlborough’s nature by kayak, vehicle and by guided walking. We are situated near the Wairau Lagoon. A peaceful haven, off the tourist trail where over 90 species of bird have been identified, such as the royal spoonbill, kotuku and black fronted tern. The area is also a place rich in early European and Polynesian history and very popular with wildlife and nature photographers. Driftwood Eco Tours has a strong conservation ethos and offsets its carbon footprint by planting one tree per tour, we also support the Marlborough Falcon Trust.
Wairau Lagoon Tours
Discover the beauty of the Wairau Lagoon, a place of contemplation far from the busy tourist circuit. Your guide will tell you some of the intriguing stories of the early settlers both Polynesian and European. This tour is perfect if you are interested in bird watching or wildlife and landscape photography. Learn about the secrets of the wildlife, over 90 species of bird have been identified in this area. Homemade food and beverages are included. Transfers from Blenheim are complimentary.

Pick-up from accommodation in Blenheim or Picton (by arrangement).
If travelling north on SH1, come through Blenheim and take 1st turn on right after Blenheim I-Site onto Dillons Point Road over railway and drive to end, we have a sign outside our gateway.
If travelling south from Picton on SH1, Grove Road, turn left onto Dillons Point Road (opposite Mobil) over railway and drive to end, we have a sign outside our gateway.
If coming from Nelson on SH6, Nelson Street, drive straight through roundabout over railway line onto Dillons Point Road over railway and drive to end, we have a sign outside our gateway.
